Lined with synthetic Pacific in the forefoot to allow a little stretch for toe knuckle comfort and Dentex in the back for moisture management again with a little stretch, the La Sportiva Women's Katana sports a Lorica, synthetic leather toe-box to help keep the shape of the toe box and provide power while edging. Lorica is also water-repellant, breathable and highly durable material. The slingshot rand wraps around the entire foot preventing stretch and driving the foot forward for a powerful forefoot fit, it is connected to the Powerhinge to ensure the shoe will only stretch in the back half of the shoe which will in turn effectively leave your toes in place on the surface of the rock for excellent edging prowess.The opposing hook and loop closure straps provide conflicting tension for an all-round great fit while the reduction in volume for the women's specific fit ensures that even the daintiest feet can climb hard.
